How to coffin shaped nails cut out is a tutorial that demonstrates how I make square tip nails turned into a coffin shape. A majority of nail technicians call it the coffin shaped nails. Why? Simply because it looks similar to the shape of a coffin. Another term other people use is ballerina nails, and I have know idea why they call it ballerina nails. To begin, you will need a pair of scissors in handy. There are a variety of ways to cut the coffin shaped nails. Some people do not even cut the sides at all, but simply just file the sides narrow in. For me, that consumes too much time. To make it simple, once you glue the regular nail tips onto the nail bed, you begin by cutting the nail tips off to your desired length. In order for the coffin shaped nails to come out good looking, you will need to wear your nails longer than usual a bit. If it\’s too short, and you want a coffin shape nail, it may look \’blunty, fat.\’ Anyways, after you get your nail length cut off, take your scissor and clip the sides diagonal as shown in the nail video tutorial. Remember that you\’re not doing a stilleto nail shape, so don\’t clip too much off. If you\’re not use to cutting with scissors, you can use a nail clipper to clip as much as you can. After that, use a file to straighten the sides out. Important: both angles of the coffin shape needs to be exactly the same angle for it to look good.
